Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Our 2015 Fund Drive is underway and Community Emergency Corps, your 24 hour Advanced Life Support Ambulance provider, would like to thank all of our residents for allowing us to serve our district for another year. If you’ve needed our service, we hope we have lived up to your expectations. If you have not needed us, thank you for your continued support.

Over the past year, we have taken on additional responsibilities in that we now also provide coverage to our neighbors to the north in the Middlegrove Fire District in the Town of Greenfield. We have done specialized training with the Middlegrove Fire Department so we are better able to address the unique characteristics of this rural area. We have ramped up our training with the Rock City Falls Fire Department and support their move to providing more advanced medical care to our patients. Both of these Fire Departments provide excellent levels of First Response which helps us to provide much better overall patient care. And after all, that is what our service is about…..our patients. We continue to work closely with the Ballston Spa Fire Department and appreciate their help when we call.

While continuing to be fiscally responsible and effective managers of our funds, we have been able to add an additional Ambulance to our fleet to allow for better coverage when needed, standbys for public events, etc. This required us to expend quite a bit of our allotted financing to outfit this rig with the proper, necessary equipment. There are still some items that we need to finish out this mission as soon as possible. Your support will help accomplish this.

We are also looking to extend our training programs so that we may offer more Public oriented training in the future. Equipment for this program needs to be purchased or updated before we can do this effectively.

As always, we are continually looking for additional volunteers to help serve our community. We help provide the training, have extremely flexible schedules, and you can even “Try it out” by using our ride-along program before making a commitment. Call or stop by to take a tour of our facility and see what we are all about. Join us and see what “Giving Back To Your Community” is all about.

As always we accept monetary contributions of support in any amount via the mail, dropping them off at our building, or through our website (listed above) using a major charge card or PayPal account. Some folks even have set up an ongoing donation option so a little comes out of their account each month. Whatever is most convenient for you and whatever your family or business can afford. Your contribution may be tax deductible as we are a 501 (c) 3 agency.

We, again, want to thank all of the residents of our district and look forward to serving you in your times of need with the best emergency medical services available. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our Executive Director, Ray Otten, at the number above.
